I grew up in East Detroit, at 9 Mile and Gratiot, with my grandparents. My mom was a roofer by day, welder by night.

She taught me the difference between needs and wants, and how to get your hands dirty for a job worth doing.

I carry that into what I create— My work is dedicated to every woman who has made something out of nothing.
